Leisure is Life!
Every leisure experience is meaningful with a positive impact when it not deviant. Leisure experience rejuvenates an individual’s being, pave a way for steady health balance, and increases the overall quality of life. But do you know that the opportunity to experience meaningful leisure can be very scared especially for vulnerable children?
Leisure engagement on its own can be seen as behavior or attitude that people do need to develop. The more consistent one gets to engage in a behavior, the more the benefits. Such behaviors may require intrinsic and/or extrinsic motivation to be regular, nonetheless, it is critically important for one’s wellbeing.
Unfortunately, not everyone finds the opportunity for a leisure experience, talk less of making leisure engagement regular. Leisure engagement for most less privileged and vulnerable individuals especially has been a struggle. Others may have the find the inner ability to create leisure time, knowing the importance of it, but the lack of other daily needs puts them in so much stress that leisure becomes a luxury. Most vulnerable individuals, especially teenagers, and young adult don’t find the extrinsic motivation to develop an active meaningful leisure lifestyle. For orphaned children, children with disabilities, at-risk children, etc., there is almost no place, scenario, or acceptable community for them to engage in meaningful leisure experience s that would rejuvenate their daily life.
Creating a space, arena, avenue, and opportunity to the vulnerable and less-privileged individual to have meaning leisure and recreation time is critically important to QSR Inc., as it is to the people we serve in different communities around the world.
When people develop the attitude of engaging in meaningful leisure experience, they are offering themself the opportunity of rejuvenation, minimizing their stress, maintaining stress-control, developing stress management skills, upholding good health, and hence maintaining their quality of life.
